Offerings of all sizes are light to moderate for current trade needs. Retail and food service demand is moderate to good following the holiday weekend. Floor stocks are closely balanced to short. Market activity is moderate to active. In the parts structure, prices are firm for tenders, wings, boneless skinless breasts, and thigh meat. The remainder of dark meat cuts, and bone-in breasts range steady to firm, and the balance of items are steady. Offerings of boneless skinless breasts, wings, tenders, and thigh meat are tight to short, with continued premiums. Bone-in breasts and all other dark meat items are light to moderate and clearing well. Market activity for parts is moderate to active. In production areas, live supplies are light to moderate. Weights are mixed, but noted as mostly desirable. The National Composite Weighted Average for 5/07/21 is 104.49 compared to 105.03 a week earlier, and 68.42 a year ago.
